The fifth annual Isle of Man Pensions Governance Conference has been announced will take place on Friday 6 November 2026 at the Comis Hotel.
The full-day event will once again be sponsored by Department for Enterprise agency, Finance Isle of Man, which is supporting the conference for the second consecutive year as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting and developing the Isle of Man’s financial and professional services sector.
Now firmly established as the Island’s only dedicated pensions conference, the event has built a strong reputation over the past five years as a valuable educational and professional development platform for anyone involved in pensions in the Isle of Man.
The conference is designed for a broad audience, including pension trustees, HR professionals, company directors, pension managers and third-party advisers such as IFAs, lawyers and accountants. Whether attendees are responsible for facilitating a group personal pension arrangement or overseeing an occupational pension scheme, the conference offers content tailored to every level of experience and responsibility.
This year’s agenda will feature an excellent line-up of speakers from the Isle of Man and further afield, alongside a mix of panel discussions, fireside chats, presentations and interactive breakout sessions.
For the first time, the programme will include an expanded range of sessions specifically designed for HR professionals and employers, while continuing to deliver the technical and governance-focused content that has made the conference a must-attend event for professional trustees and pension specialists.
Topics set to be covered include:
- Communicating effectively with pension scheme members
- Member tracing
- Legal and actuarial considerations
- Current information relating to Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pensions
- Governance and regulatory matters
- Industry developments and emerging trends
- Update from the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority
All attendees will be eligible to receive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, and the event will conclude with networking drinks, offering delegates the opportunity to continue discussions and connect with fellow professionals from across the industry.
