Group General Manager
Karen joined Boal & Co in 2010, bringing extensive corporate pensions experience from her previous roles with a leading international bank.
As General Manager she is responsible for overseeing business operations, implementing strategy, monitoring financial performance, and setting policies and processes.
In addition to her General Manager responsibilities, Karen manages Boal & Co's international and domestic corporate pension client portfolio, overseeing the day-to-day trustee and administration services while fulfilling a key relationship manager role to clients.
With more than 20 years’ experience in managing retirement benefits schemes, Karen has played a pivotal role in Boal & Co’s growth and her expertise ensures clients, their schemes and members receive excellent governance, support and service.
Karen was appointed to the Board of Boal & Co (Pensions) Ltd in 2013, Boal & Co Pensions (Jersey) Limited in 2020, and Boal & Co Ltd in May 2022 and has held the position of General Manager since July 2021.
Karen likes to keep fit by attending the gym and running. She is a keen skier and enjoys ski holidays with her daughter, son and husband. Originally from Scotland, Karen moved to the Isle of Man in 1990.
