Mike joined Boal & Co in 2020 as Head of Compliance & Risk.
Formerly Boal & Co’s Head of Compliance & Risk and MLRO, Mike has previously been responsible for Boal’s anti money laundering, combating the financing of terrorism, and risk management framework as well as monitoring compliance with Boal’s regulatory obligations. With plans to retire at the end of 2024, Mike has transitioned the role of Head of Compliance & Risk to Kathryn Travis-Bell.
Mike has more than 22 years' experience in regulatory compliance, having held senior roles at several financial services businesses spanning banking, investments, fund administration and corporate services. He has worked in the financial services industry (most recently in the Isle of Man and Jersey) for more than 35 years.
Mike is a Chartered Member of the of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Mike likes to keep fit, particularly cycling, running (slowly!) and exploring the beautiful Manx hill and coastal paths. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and supporting/watching his favourite football and rugby teams.
