Software Developer

Semanthe joined Boal & Co in 2023, bringing 12 years' experience as a software developer.

Semanthe is responsible for developing and maintaining Boal & Co’s proprietary systems and supporting the teams across the Group with any technical issues and system requirements.

A key member of Boal & Co’s Group operational committees, Semanthe in involved with documenting the data flow and programming of new systems, implementing projects, developments, and procedures as well as delivering, documenting and managing IT and Security policies. She also works with the wider IT team to ensure the continuous enhancement of IT Boal & Co’s infrastructure.

A passionate, hands-on and experienced Software Developer, Semanthe has significant experience in software programming, database design, development, and implementation across various industries including Medical Services, Insurance and Telecommunications. She has a bachelor’s degree in Information Management from Damelin.

Originally from South Africa, Semanthe moved to the Isle of Man in 2020 with her husband and 3 boys.

In their spare time…

Semanthe is mum to her three boys Xayden, Ethan, and Caleb. She is a car and motorbikes enthusiast (basically anything involving speed!), a fan of everything outdoors and enjoys a good book.
