Michiel Erasmus BSc

Actuary

Michiel joined Boal & Co in 2023, bringing pensions and life valuations experience.

Michiel provides in-house actuarial support for Boal & Co’s pension administration and trustee teams. This includes performing complex calculations, building financial models and calculating the liabilities of defined-benefit pension schemes in addition to developing models and processes, producing reports and undertaking various relevant projects.

His role also involves risk-based capital reporting for life and non-life insurance companies.

Michiel has 5 years’ experience within pensions and life insurance valuations.

Michiel has a BSc Actuarial Science (cum laude) and has been an academically qualified Associate Actuary with the Actuarial Society of South Africa since 2021.

In their spare time…

Michiel loves exploring the beautiful Isle of Man on his mountain bike and by foot. He also enjoys attending the gym and participating in all kinds of sports.
